Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then located multiple other marked cars and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say preliminary tests indicate the liquid was likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet cognizant of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have requested to the public for information.

An important political figure said the vandalism rendered him stunned and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting people of foreign heritage in 2020.
